President’s Welcome

Dear Laker Families:

On behalf of the Laker Club, we want to welcome you to Lake Oswego High School for the 2024-2025 school year!  We are so excited to be back and encourage you to get involved!

Laker Club is a volunteer organization whose mission is to enhance and enrich the high school experience for the students at Lake Oswego High School. In a 2023 study conducted on the impact of parental involvement, 95% of students stated better mental and physical well-being thanks to actively involved parents.  Each year our Laker Family raises money that goes directly towards supporting academics, arts, athletics, clubs, performing arts, counseling and more.  We help support our incredible LOHS staff so they can provide better opportunities for the entire Laker student community.

With the steadfast generosity of our community, LOHS has earned top rankings for our academic and extracurricular growth and achievement, graduation rates; and college readiness.  Laker Club bridges a gap not paved by state, county, nor city funds.  We meet you where your students need us, whether this be purchasing microscopes and calculators in the classroom, enabling newspaper and music productions after school, or reinforcing support systems for DELTA and Pathways programs.

For the 2024-2025 school year we are asking for a voluntary tax-deductible donation of $125 per family, but any amount is appreciated. Please make your tax-deductible donation at Laker Club Donation.  You can also bring a check to the office made out to the LOHS Parent Club or mail it to LOHS at 2501 Country Club Rd, LO 97034, Attention: Laker Club.

We welcome every parent and guardian.  We believe in meaningful and constructive input.  We strive to be transparent in all our activities.  We advocate for an integrated structure that leverages the combined strength of administrators, teachers, parents/guardians, and students.  Join us for a coffee, at a club meeting, or cheering on our students at an event.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

GO LAKERS!
