Open Volunteer Opportunities
Stay tuned for upcoming volunteer opportunities.
Auditor (for 24/25, short term commitment, no CPA experience necessary)
This position can be done from the comfort of your home. It requires reviewing that expenses from 24/25 fiscal year match bank statements and account information. No CPA experience required.
Bottle Drop program champion (annual commitment 25/26)
Bottle Drop is a recycling program that allows you to redeem beverage containers for cash. We could use a champion to organize the students to participate in the Bottle Drop recycling drive throughout the year to help raise funds for the PTA for teacher grants.
One of the board members signed up our bottle drop account for holiday give, so any bags we turn in between November 15th and December 2 will get 20% extra funds for it. We need someone to help take this program on (ideally throughout the year, but at least for the Holiday Give).
Please reach out if you are able to help.
Holiday Cards Fundraiser champion (short term commitment)
We need a champion who can organize and help promote greeting card fundraising drive. Minted greeting cards assign a special code for fundraising to our PTA organization, and a certain % of sales from our assigned code will be given back to the Laker Club fund.
A lot of people order holiday cards so what a great way to get the cards for the holidays for friends and loved ones and help raise money for teachers.
Please let me know if you are willing to champion this program. It is probably going to be the most impactful during the December holidays, but it looks like there are some events that may be going on all year round for different holidays.
Party Board fundraiser volunteers (short term commitment)
If anyone wants to help organize party boards (or organize other parents to come up with party boards), we could use some help. Usually for those, parents host an event open to other parents in the LOHS community and funds raised are donated to the Laker Parent Club to help with the teacher grant needs.
